Our prayers go out to all of you.  Matt will be dearly missed but he will be very welcomed by so many in Heaven.  I know that he is receiving so MANY hugs from all of the family that had gone before.  We miss your smile and laughter already, Matt.

I was very sorry to hear about Matt's passing.  He will be missed by so many.  I don't think I've seen Matt since we were children, but was very touched when he came to my Dad's funeral a few years ago, which may be the last time I had seen him.  Matt was so full of life and so funny, he always seemed to light up the whole atmosphere no matter where he was.  I'm sorry I'm not able to get back to his funeral.   Will keep all of you in my prayers for comfort and strength to get through this difficult time.

My sympathies to the your family.  Matt was such a great guy.  It is truely sad to hear that Matt has passed away.  His smiling picture tells so many stories that will never be forgotten.   I have so many great memories of Matt, he will always be remembered.

Mark, Jennifer, Trevor and rest of Downing family.  We want to extend our deepest sympathy to you.  We really didn't know Matt, but, just reading his obit, we can see he was really a special person.  We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers.  We are so sorry for your loss.

Matt's family and dear friend have my deepest sympathy.  I have plenty of wonderful memories of Matt when we all were kids and ice skating and 3-wheeling, etc.  He also was a very thoughtful, caring person as he got older.  When my mom, Mabel, was ill, he would pop in for a visit and would just brighten everyones day while he was there.  He would breath life into the room and always made you feel better.  She, (mom) said that whenever he came he always had to give her a kiss and she was quite proud of that.  My thoughts are with you all.

My heart was saddened to hear of Matt's death, and my care extends to all of you remaining. I recall his kindness to us at the shop on varied occasions, and being with him at a family gathering.
