OUR LOVING & HEARTFELT SYMPATHY TO THE FAMILY OF MATT AND TO CELESTE. THE VERY FIRST TIME WE MET MATT WAS LAST WINTER ON THE HILL. HE EXTENDED THE MOST WELCOMING SPIRIT TO US BOTH. WE ALWAYS KNEW WHEN MATT WAS AROUND BECAUSE HIS FRIENDLY APPROACH TO EVERYONE COULD BE WITNESSED BY ALL, WE SPOKE WITH HIM ON SATURDAY NIGHT APRIL, 10TH AND DIDN'T KNOW THEN THAT WE DIDN'T HAVE ALL THE TIME IN THE WORLD TO ENJOY HIS LOVING SPIRIT.

My heart dropped when I received a message from Randy of Matt's passing. Even though we lost contact over the years, Matt was always a lifelong friend to me. He is one of those who you could just pick back up where you left off with a hug and a great big smile and never even feel like time apart had passed! Man what a smile and great big heart. Always giving to others. Matt, you will be missed by so many. I am only sorry that we hadn't stayed in better contact and I will miss you greatly my friend. My prayers to the Downing Family that you are comforted knowing that Matt is with God.

Matt always brought a beautiful smile and positivity in any room. I will really miss the laughter and fun we had cutting up. He is the only person I ever knew that was as hyper as me. What an amazing man!

He has touched many, many people, throughout his life here on earth!
What a great gift from God, Matt was to everyone! The last thing I heard from Matt the other day (after sharing an unfortunate experience with him & others), was "sometime's we go through great pains before we see the miracles that God has in store for us. We could never plan what God has in store for us, overselves!"

my life is better to have known matt.i dont think i have ever met anyone more caring or selfless ever.i will always remember matts laugh.if i know anything i know matts looking down on us saying dont worry about me guys.ill be here waitin on ya.this world lost a very special person and im privileged to have had him in my life.god bless his family.ill miss ya buddy.
